Calvin Colding, Youth Program CoordinatorCalvin or "Cal" is an Oakland native with deep roots in the San Antonio district. He has a long history of coaching youth sports, mainly in basketball and flag football. Cal currently works within the Emergency Food/Supplies Program and the youth program and developing an adult internship program for Trybe.

Hector Cruz, Lead AmbassadorHector or "Hec" is a long standing community member that has served the San Antonio district for over 15yrs first with Harbor House as the property manager, pantry manager, and Hockey teacher. Now Working for Trybe he has worked in the emergency food program and is the lead safety ambassador and overall floater in multiple programs at here at Trybe.

Karen Heida, Associate Director (Programs and Partnerships)Karen serves as Trybe's Associate Director. She oversees Trybe's early childhood, education, literacy, youth, and family programs. A mother of six, legally blind, Karen has spent her entire adult life supporting children and families.
Karen's passion is to help young parents and families through the difficult years of transition. Karen has her B.A. in History from U.C.Berkeley. |
Victor Jacobs, Distribution Coordinator/Outreach SpecialistVictor or “Vic” is the Food Program Manager at Trybe. He helps bridge the need for food insecurity in the Oakland community through various food programs such as drop in shopping at San Antonio's food pantry, satellite produce stands at various school sites, and large food drops at participating apartment complexes throughout the community . He is an Oakland native with a sports background from playing to coaching Basketball and Flag Football. Through his passions he serves his community.

Lisa Lambaren, Associate DirectorLisa is an Oakland native, graduate of Dewey High School, mother of 3 and lead organizer at Bella Vista. With deep San Antonio roots with family all over the neighborhood, Lisa works in retail, drives her children everywhere in Oakland and still finds time to put in work with her community.

Andrew Park, Executive DirectorAndrew arrived in Oakland Chinatown in 1979 and moved to and grew up East Oakland. A graduate of Skyline High and UC Davis, along with a doctoral degree in transformational leadership from the Berkeley Graduate Theological Union, Andrew has over 20 years experience working with families and youth. A father of four, Andrew founded Trybe in 2008 and works tirelessly to better the community he grew up in.

Sonia GonzalezSonia Gonzalez is a native of Salinas and holds a business degree from UC Berkeley. Coming from a family farm, she grew up selling bags of produce door to door. She is the general manager for a mobile app company and has been involved with three start-ups. She and 3 her sisters (all of whom are first generation college graduates and all work in tech) are involved in service, working with start-ups and non-profits to help Central Valley farmers, entrepreneurs, and especially youth and women of color, to forge pathways in tech.

Jamisha DewsBorn in San Francisco, CA and later moved to Oakland in 1997, Jamisha attended Jefferson Elementary, Calvin Simmons Middle School and graduated from Skyline high School. Jamisha worked for OPR at the early age of 12-17. She then fell in love with community work. As she is a mother of 2, she also fell in love with cooking. Jamisha has created free healthy culinary courses for families to attend, partnered with OUSD and EBAYC and is now a part of the Trybe family as a Board Member and Resource Navigator.
